Privacy policy
Effective October 11, 2026
This policy covers the myEnku website (myenku.com) and the myEnku web app (myenku.app). myEnku is operated by Tom Carrasco, an individual (sole proprietor), based in Texas (“we”, “us”).
In short: there are no accounts. Your goal, numbers and journal stay in your own browser. We don’t receive them, store them on a server, sell them or use them for advertising.
The app: your data stays on your device
Everything you enter in the app (your goal, daily values, journal entries, reflections, checklists, settings and the automatic backups the app keeps) is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no copy.
- No account, no sign-in. We don’t ask for your name or email to use the app.
- No analytics, cookies or trackers in the app.
- Enku runs on your device. Enku’s messages come from written rules applied to your own data in your browser. Nothing is sent to an AI service.
- Backups and imports are local. Exported files (JSON and CSV) are created in your browser and saved where you choose. Imported files are read in your browser and never uploaded.
- Calendar reminders are files. A reminder is a calendar file created on your device for you to add to your own calendar app. We don’t store your schedule.
- Offline support. The app stores its own program files on your device so it works offline. This contains no personal data.
Because we never have your data, we can’t recover it. If you clear your browser’s data for myenku.app, use a different browser or device, or erase everything in the app’s Settings, your experiment is gone unless you exported a backup. Clearing the browser’s site data also removes the app’s automatic backups.
The website: cookieless analytics
On myenku.com we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate (for example, which pages are visited and roughly from which country). It does not use cookies or local storage, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites. The app (myenku.app) does not use it.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell or share personal information for advertising.
Hosting
The website and app are delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the sites, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Fonts and images are served from our own domains, not from third-party font or image services.
Links to other sites
The app can show links that search for a book on services such as Google Books, Open Library or the Internet Archive. If you follow one, the book title is part of the link and that site’s own privacy policy applies. None of these links currently earn us anything (see the affiliate disclosure).
If you email us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation. Please don’t send us your journal or backup files unless you want us to see them.
Children
myEnku is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the app stores nothing on our side, there is nothing for us to collect.
Your choices
You can view, export, change or erase your data at any time in the app. Because we don’t hold your app data, there is nothing on our side to access or delete. For anything you sent us by email, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. If we ever start collecting data from the app, we’ll say so here before it happens.
